group of people

Mental health is fundamental to our ability to thrive, establish meaningful relationships, and contribute to the community. MIYFS counseling professionals provide individual, couples, and family counseling to help Mercer Island residents address personal challenges and manage unexpected life events.

We work with Islanders across the lifespan to deal with a wide range of issues including:

  • Family conflict
  • Parenting skills
  • Marriage and/or relationship issues, divorce
  • Managing teenagers, school/work concerns
  • Behavior problems, abuse
  • Grief and loss
  • Self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and other emotional concerns

Reach out to us any time; the process is confidential. When you call MIYFS, staff will ask a few questions and then connect you with the counselor who is the best fit.

Services provided include:

  • Initial brief consultation,
  • Short-term intensive counseling, or
  • Long-term ongoing therapy.

To ensure access to services, low- and moderate- income families are served using a sliding fee scale. MIYFS does not accept insurance.
