June 3 is National Trails Day, and you can celebrate our trails by kicking off this year’s Letterboxing Program and joining a volunteer event. Simply
register online for a day of service on June 3 from 10:00am - 3:00pm at Pioneer Park.
What is Letterboxing? It’s a scavenger hunt around Pioneer Park’s SE Quadrant. Follow clues to locate boxes hidden throughout the park, stamp your booklet once you find the clue, and leave your own imprint behind. It’s a great way to explore the park with friends and family.
Volunteers will also help City staff maintain trails in Pioneer Park through spreading mulch, clearing debris off trails, and removing non-native plants. Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers) and bring a water bottle. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
