Ordinances

An ordinance, as the term is typically used, refers to a local law of a municipal corporation, duly enacted by the proper authorities, prescribing general, uniform, and permanent rules of conduct, relating to the corporate affairs of the municipality. The City of Mercer Island numbering system includes the year of passage. This method permits easy identification of the year when an ordinance was enacted. In some instances, the letter "C" is incorporated in the numbering system signifying that the ordinance amends the Mercer Island City Code.

Ordinances adopted from 2010-2020 are available in the Mercer Island MuniDocs Library. A master list of adopted ordinances is available here.
