Climate Challenge

Mercer Island is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and we need your help! Approximately 45% of our local emissions come from energy use in buildings (i.e. natural gas, electricity, propane), which involves a lot of basic household activities. But the great news is there are more ways than ever for you to take action, save money, and make a difference…

Launched on Earth Day 2022 , the Mercer Island Climate Challenge makes it easy and fun to reduce your environmental impact. You pick the actions specific to your goals, track your progress, and watch your carbon footprint decline as you make changes at home! You can collaborate with your neighbors, form teams, share ideas and resources, and work towards your goals together.   Learn more and join the Mercer Island Climate Challenge today!
