Status Updates
A number of Sound Transit-led, multi-year construction projects are underway in the vicinity of the Sound Transit Station in order to prepare for the opening of light rail and connect the station to local and regional bus routes. These include:
- New station entrances and forecourts on 77th Ave SE and 80th Ave SE
- A new roundabout at 77th Ave SE and North Mercer Way (for bus turnaround)
- Changes to the bus layover areas at the North Mercer Way Park & Ride
- Adjustments to the Mountains-to-Sound (aka I-90) Bike and Pedestrian Trail
- Other traffic signal and intersection work in the area
- Changes to bus routes and schedules
