City Hall Closed Until Further Notice

Update: 5/17/23

City Hall remains closed. Please see the latest announcement for more information.

April 17, 2023 - To ensure the safety of staff and visitors, City Hall is temporarily closed after disturbed tiles and materials were discovered that were later confirmed to contain asbestos. These materials are located in the building’s boiler room, which also contains air-handling equipment.

Closing City Hall is a necessary precaution while further testing confirms what remediation steps are necessary. City staff are working with environmental safety experts to facilitate remediation and determine when a reopening can be scheduled.

Most City services will operate virtually or from alternate facilities during this time and there will be no change to Police or Public Works response. Due to public meeting requirements, the April 18 City Council Meeting is canceled. All Municipal Court hearings scheduled for April 18 will be rescheduled.

If you need assistance accessing services or have questions about this closure, please contact the City’s Customer Service Team.
