BAT Night| Gallagher Hill

Wednesday, August 13, 2025 - 8:00pm to 9:00pm

Have you ever wanted to learn more about bats?

Join us at Gallagher Hill Open Space for a fun night of community science. We’ll be learning all about our local bat populations and then participating in the Bat Activity Trends (BAT) project. This community science program helps to track bat activities in parks across the region. Be prepared to explore the park just after sunset and help make counts on these fascinating flying friends!

No experience necessary. All ages welcome. Please note: we require participants aged 14 and under to volunteer with a parent or guardian at a ratio of 1 adult to 3 kids.

  • When: Wednesday, August 13th, 8-9pm
  • Where: Gallagher Hill Open Space
  • What to bring: Dress for the weather in comfortable clothes. Bring a water bottle and a headlamp. Small snacks will be provided.
