3700 block, 78th Ave; 5400 block/7000 block/7200 block, West Mercer Way
Background
Due to Mercer Island's topography, pressure reducing valves (PRVs) are required to maintain acceptable water pressure island-wide, making PRV stations an integral component to the City's water system. Like water main breaks, potential damage caused by PRV failures can be detrimental to the water system and surrounding neighborhoods. Many PRV stations on the island do not meet City standards. This project furthers goals outlined in the City's Water System Plan, ensuring necessary improvements so the City remains at the forefront in providing high-quality water service.
Description
This project will install four new PRV stations and new water main at the 3700 block of 78th Avenue and the 5400, 7000, and 7200 blocks of West Mercer Way.
