Luther Burbank Park Rental

Two Picnic Areas at Luther Burbank Park can be reserved from May through September. Please check online or consult posted schedules at each site to confirm availability.

• Once you've made your reservation, you will be emailed a confirmation and receipt (check junk folder, if not received). 
• Print out your signed rental agreement or have it easily accessible on your phone when you arrive for your picnic rental.

Guidelines and Park Rules:

• Picnic area space is for groups of 50 people or less, with no additional equipment or activities utilized.
• Picnic area reservations are full-day only; each space is available from 8am – 8pm.
• Picnic area reservations must be made at least seven days in advance of the desired date. (Reservations cannot be made less than seven days. Non-reserved areas are first come, first serve).
• Alcohol, vehicles, and public sales are prohibited at picnic areas. See more park rules here

Area “A” – Tennis Courts

• Located in the north end of the park right near the playground and main restrooms.
• Includes five picnic tables and one large park grill.
• No vehicle access at this site.

Area “B” – The Meadow (Unavailable to rent during the Luther Burbank Waterfront Renovation and Upgrade) 

• Located in the middle of Luther Burbank Park, Area B includes a shaded area with tables and grills, and a large, open meadow.
• Includes five tables and two park grills.
• Vehicle access available here by Special Event Permit only.
• Closest restroom is at the playground.

Area "C" - Swim Beach

• Located in the south end of the park, near the public swimming area.
• Includes six tables and three park grills.
• Use the south lot for closest parking.
• No vehicle access at this site.

Amphitheater

• Outdoor performance or event space, with a natural grass terraced seating area, a grass ‘stage’ area, and a wooden backdrop.
• No picnic tables or park grills at this site.
• Limited vehicle access availability, with approval.
• Available by reservation as a special event only.

Picnic areas are first come, first served when they are not reserved. There is one small picnic area that is always available first come, first served, just south of the swim beach at the south end of the park. There are numerous tables and benches throughout the park that are always free to use. There are no electrical or water hook-ups available.

Special Events

A Special Event application is required for any event where there will be 50 or more people in attendance, any event requiring vehicle access, specialized equipment, significant impact to the park or any wedding. This application process must be completed at least 45 days before an area can be reserved.
