Bio Blitz and Ivy Removal

Join us for this special Bio Blitz and ivy removal event. This weekend is the City Nature Challenge a global effort where cities mobilize community science share nature observations through bio blitzing. Bio blitzes are events that focus on finding and identifying as many species as possible from insects to plants, birds to algae.

To start off our event we will teach volunteers all about Bio Blitzing, from how to use iNaturalist to suggestions on where and how to observe. We’ll then break volunteers up into groups to explore the park and make as many observations as possible for 30 minutes. Once our bio blitz is complete, we will continue our efforts to remove ivy from the forest.
