Spring Plant ID - Walk and Weeding Event

Join us and Pioneer Park expert Rita Moore (Washington Native Plant Society Steward, King County Land/Water Steward, former Pioneer Park Open Space Trust Committee Member) for Spring Plant ID walking tour in Pioneer Park. We will learn about the ecology of the park, the plants/animals/fungus who live here, and some of the challenges it is facing from non-native plants. We will follow the tour with a chance to help remove some of the ivy and clean-up this beautiful park.

When: Thursday, March 30, 4pm-6pm

Where: Pioneer Park

What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring a water bottle. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
