Street Ends

The City has a number of streets which end at Lake Washington, providing an excellent opportunity for waterfront access and pursuing recreational activities. Twenty "street ends" total six acres of land, and 1,140 feet of water frontage. Opportunities abound for wildlife viewing, picnicking, swimming/wading (no lifeguards on duty), kayaking and canoeing.

Developed street ends typically include park furniture, including park benches or picnic tables and garbage receptacles. Some areas have trails to the water, beaches, and docks. Maintenance typically includes regularly mowing and trimming and garbage collection in the peak use season. Parking is usually limited. Some areas are designated for swimming and car top boat launching.

Undeveloped street ends are left in their natural state and are very rustic. There are typically no amenities/restrooms at these locations and parking may not be available.
