  • Island Crest Way from 90th Ave SE to SE 68th Street

Background/Description

The one-mile section of Island Crest Way from 90th Avenue SE to SE 68th Street is a major commuter corridor as well as a pedestrian and bicycle hub, connecting residents to schools, parks, commercial centers, and Interstate 90. The Island Crest Way Corridor Safety Analysis aims to identify and analyze mobility concerns for all users, with a focus on safety elements including bicycle/pedestrian facilities, illumination, visibility/sightlines, parking, roadway/intersection capacity, and school-zone operations. A public questionnaire will collect feedback from the Mercer Island community in November-December 2021. The results of the analysis will be summarized in a written document as well as presented to City Council.
