Pioneer Park Clean Up

Join us for a Forest Steward led event in Pioneer Park SE. Forest Stewards Marilyn and Bob have started removing ivy in a new section of the park and could use your help in their efforts!

Why remove ivy? Ivy provides little ecological value to our park. It takes up valuable space for other plants that provide food and shelter for insects, birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles.

When: Saturday, April 13^th, 10am-1pm
Where: Pioneer Park SE, please follow along the map provided for directions to their specific work site.
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring water. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
