Pioneer Park

Join us for a Saturday work party in Pioneer Park. Last year volunteers helped to remove over 10,000 sq ft of ivy from Pioneer Park. Ivy plays a big role in local habitat destruction by pulling down trees, shading out native plants, and reduces habitat and food for wildlife. We’re hoping to beat our numbers from last year by removing more ivy and creating healthier forests. We would love your help!

All ages welcome, and no experience necessary! Gloves, tools, water, and small snacks provided.

  • When: Saturday, March 23rd, 10am-1pm
  • Where: Pioneer Park NE, Meet at the corner of Island Crest Way and SE 68th St. Follow VOLUNTEER EVENT Signs
  • What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring water. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
