REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS: 25-28 General Sewer Plan

Notice is hereby given that the City of Mercer Island (City) is announcing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering consultants to provide professional services in performing and completing the General Sewer Plan in accordance with the WAC 173-240-050 and RCW 90.48.110. In addition, the selected firm will develop the City’s first systemwide hydraulic model, which will serve as a baseline for identifying capacity issues and prioritizing future reinvestment needs.

SOQ with requirements, as outlined in the RFQ package, must be received, not sent, no later than 2:00 PM on May 27, 2025.  All SOQs will only be accepted via electronic transmission. Submit SOQ packets to: bids@mercerisland.gov and include 25-28 General Sewer Plan Update on the subject line of the email.

Questions regarding the project may be directed to Chris Marks at chris.marks@mercerisland.gov.  All questions must be received in writing prior to May 16, 2025 and responses will be posted on the City's Website. No phone calls for emails will be accepted.

The City of Mercer Island, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 23 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
