Bike to Work Day
Friday, May 15, is Bike to Work Day, a nationwide event that encourages people to ditch their cars for a day and experience the joy of commuting to work or school on two wheels. Traveling by bike provides a host of benefits, including reduced pollution from tailpipe emissions for communities and the ability to save money on gas and become healthier for riders.
The City of Mercer Island is joining in the fun: Parks and Recreation Commissioners, Open Space Conservancy Trustees, and City staff will hand out coffee and a sweet treat to commuters on bicycles and e-bikes who are cruising through Greta Hackett Outdoor Sculpture Gallery from 7 to 10 a.m. We hope to see you roll on through!
