Project Title:    2022 Arterial and Residential Street Overlays
Bid Number:    22-14
Engineers Estimated Cost (range): $1,450,000 to $1,550,000

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 PM on April 18, 2022.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the temporary closure of the City Hall building, all bidders shall submit their bids in PDF format via electronic transmission to the Public Works email address at:  publicworks@mercerisland.gov.  There will be no public bid opening for this project; bid results will be posted on the City’s web page at:  https://www.mercerisland.gov/rfps.

Work to be performed under this contract includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for asphalt overlay of 0.6 miles of SE 68th St and SE 70th Pl and 1.0 mile of residential streets, consisting of:  temporary traffic control, pavement repairs, asphalt planing, full width and full depth asphalt pavement removal, hot mix asphalt paving, shoulder restoration, utility adjustments, and pavement markings.

A single contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities.

Plans and specifications are also available at the City of Mercer Island website http://www.mercerisland.gov/rfps.  Addenda may not be available or updated on this website.

A bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid total price must accompany each bid.
