Project Title: Basin40 CIPP Sewer Lining Project – Phase 2
Bid Number: 23‐02
Engineer’s Estimated Cost (range): $1,500,000 to 1,900,000

Sealed bids will be received, not sent, electronically by the city until 12:00 pm on June 14, 2023. Bidders shall submit
their bids in PDF format to the Public Works email address at publicworks@mercerisland.gov. There will be no public
bid opening for this project. Bid results will be posted on City’s web page at: https://www.mercerisland.gov/rfps.

Work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to:

Work generally consists of installing approximately 12,000 LF of UV cured CIPP into existing 8‐inch, 10‐inch, and 12‐
inch diameter sewer main. Lining of select sections of mainline sewer will require accessing the sewer through
manholes positioned within yard or landscape areas of private residences and installing approximately 100 service
connection seals to seal the joint between the sewer main and the service. Temporary traffic control and devices,
property restoration, work within neighborhoods and easements within backyard, work near the shoreline, and
other miscellaneous items will also be necessary to complete the work. Several manholes are to be raised up to 2
feet to bring the manhole lid to existing grade.

A single contract is to be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid. The
City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities.

Island”, “Projects Bidding”. Builders Exchange manages the official bidders list. Bidders are encouraged
to register in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the
official bidders list.

http://www.mercerisland.gov/rfps. Addenda may not be available or updated on this website.

A bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid total price must accompany each bid.
