METHOD OF BID SOLICITATION: MRSC Small Public Works "Storm Drainage Facility Construction, Repair and Maintenance" and "Water Facility Construction, Repair and Maintenance” Roster in accordance with RCW 39.04.155.

PROJECT INFORMATION

The City of Mercer Island, Washington is requesting bid proposals for Street Related Water and Storm Improvements, Project No. 24-12. Work to be performed under this contract includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the construction of utility improvements in the Mercer Island neighborhood of Island Point and a storm repair on North Mercer Way. Work includes but is not limited to: mobilization, temporary traffic control, pavement removal, fire hydrant removals and installations, galvanized water service replacements, storm drainage pipe repairs and minor extensions, catch basin installations, and utility trench pavement restoration.

The selected contractor will be required to meet and agree to all the conditions in this Invitation to Bid (ITB) as well as the Required Bid Forms, EXHIBIT “A”, the SAMPLE Contract Documents, EXHIBIT “B”, the City’s General Terms and Conditions, EXHIBIT “C”, and Contract Special Provisions, EXHIBIT “D”.

INTERPRETATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS

Questions regarding the project may be directed to Ian Powell, Street Engineer, at ian.powell@mercerisland.gov. Questions are to be received no later than 12:00 PM, Tuesday April 9, 2024.

To receive automatic email notifications for the project, interested Contractor’s may email ian.powell@mercerisland.gov to be added to the prospective bidders list. Contractors not on the prospective bidders list, but wanting to submit a bid, are urged to check the project webpage regularly for important project updates.

All interested bidders shall submit the required bid forms electronically to bids@mercerisland.gov no later than 10:00AM, April 11, 2024, to be eligible. All submittals shall be clearly titled: “BID PROPOSAL – Street Related Water and Storm Improvements”.
