REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS: RFQ No. 25-31

 

Notice is hereby given that the City of Mercer Island (City) is announcing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering consultants to provide professional Design and Support Services for First Hill Booster Pump Station System Tuning Project. This project will evaluate and improve the First Hill Booster Pump Station, focusing on capacity, system performance, and future service needs. Planned upgrades include the replacement of aging components such as variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other pump station improvements based on the evaluation findings.

Statement of Qualifications with requirements, as outlined in the RFQ package, must be received, not sent, no later than 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. All SOQs will only be accepted via electronic transmission. Submit SOQ packets to: bids@mercerisland.gov with the email subject line clearly titled: “SOQ for First Hill BPS System Tuning”.

Questions regarding the project may be directed to Chris Marks at chris.marks@mercerisland.gov. All questions must be received in writing prior to June 24, 2025 and responses will be posted on the City's Website.

The City of Mercer Island, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 23 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
