Project Title:      2021 East Mercer Way Landslide Repair

Engineers Estimated Cost (range): $150,000 to $200,000

Sealed bids will be received until 10:00 AM on April 20, 2021.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the temporary closure of the City Hall building, all bidders shall submit their bids in PDF format via electronic transmission to the Public Works email address at:  publicworks@mercergov.org.  There will be no public bid opening for this project; bid results will be posted on the City’s web page at:  https://www.mercerisland.gov/rfps.

Work to be performed under this contract includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the construction of a 75-foot long soldier pile retaining wall near 5638 East Mercer Way, consisting of:  temporary traffic control, drilling pile shafts, installing steel pilings, installing timber lagging, gravel backfill, removing and reinstalling guardrail, site restoration, and erosion control.

A single contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities.

Plans and specifications are also available at the City of Mercer Island website http://www.mercerisland.gov/rfps.  Addenda may not be available or updated on this website.

A bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid total price must accompany each bid.
