Interlocal Agreements

Documents

RCW 39.34 permits a local government to enter into interlocal agreements with other public agencies in the interest of cooperatively sharing resources for their mutual benefit. In accordance with RCW 39.34, the City of Mercer Island has executed interlocal agreements with other public agencies for various purposes over the years.

RCW 39.34.040 permits a public agency to list interlocal agreements on its website in lieu of having the agreement filed with the county auditor’s office.

The agreements shown below are posted here to comply with RCW 39.34.040.  Original interlocal agreements are on file with the Mercer Island City Clerk and may be accessed by making a public records request or may be available through King County.  The City has posted all agreements with other local jurisdictions including Memorandums of Understanding or other local agency agreements, as well as interlocal agreements.

Click on the descriptions below to view the agreements.  They are in order of most recent to oldest. To find a specific agreement, hold down the "CRTL" key and press the "F" key to initiate the find function (on a Mac: use the Apple key and the "F" key).
