REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS: RFQ No. 24-06

Notice is hereby given that the City of Mercer Island (City) is announcing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering consultants to provide professional Design Services for Sewer Pump Station 20 Rehabilitation. Work includes determining the appropriate rehabilitation methods based off the City’s most recent pump station assessment report, designing plans, developing bid documents, and providing construction support services. Additional work involves preparing template technical specifications and standard details that can be implemented on future projects.

Statement of Qualifications with requirements, as outlined in the RFQ package, must be received, not sent, no later than 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2024. All SOQs will only be accepted via electronic transmission. Submit SOQ packets to: bids@mercerisland.gov with the email subject line clearly titled: “SOQ for Design Services for Sewer PS 20 Rehabilitation”.

The City of Mercer Island, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 23 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
